Evanston, IL – The American
Massage Therapy Association Web site has won the “Standard of Excellence”
WebAward from the Web Marketing Association (WMA). This award recognizes
the standard of excellence for which all corporate Web sites strive.
The WebAward competition
acknowledges the individual and team achievement of Web professionals who
create and maintain outstanding Web sites. The judges are made up from
Internet marketing, advertising, PR and design professionals from around the
country who are committed to improving the quality of Web sites. Each
WebAward entry is judged against a standard of excellence and against other
entries in their category. Entries are judged on seven criteria including
design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, copywriting and ease
of use.
"The
American Massage Therapy Association is honored by this WebAward given by
the Web Marketing Association” said Dan Hickey, Web site Communications
Program Manager. “It's rewarding to know that our recent redesign and other
improvements to the Web site are being acknowledged by this award”.
The WMA was created to help
set high standards for Internet marketing and Web development. This is the
ninth year of the WebAwards. The AMTA Web site is featured on the Web
Marketing Association Web site with an icon link announcing the winners.
AMTA’s Web site has won this award in past years but this is the first award
the AMTA Web site has been given since its redesign.
The American Massage Therapy
Association, with over 53,000 members, works to advance the profession
through ethics and standards, public education and the promotion of fair and
consistent licensing of massage therapists in all 50 states. The
association serves its members while advancing the art, science and practice
of massage therapy.
