San Antonio, TX — The American Massage Therapy Association announced today at its 1999
National Convention the beginning of an exclusive new benefit for massage therapists on its web site at www.amtamassage.org. Massage therapists now can search the automated Learn ‘n Earn Continuing Education Calendar from AMTA that updates itself every day.
This new automated calendar allows web users to search for continuing education
opportunities by location, date and topic. Sponsors of educational programs can enter information on
upcoming seminars or workshops on a simple form that will be posted on-line immediately. Once posted, a workshop or seminar will stay on the
calendar for up to six (6) months. The automatic updating feature of the software deletes an entry on
the day an event occurs.
Posting of massage continuing education events is free for members of AMTA and available
to non-members for an introductory rate of $50.00. Payment and credit card authorization is processed over a secure server and approved in
seconds. Advertisers posting events can list the organization sponsoring the event, name of
presenter, location, cost, date and time of event, and phone and e-mail contacts.
Links within the program also allow viewers to read about continuing education
requirements of AMTA and the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.
AMTA is a professional organization of 40,000 members in 30 countries. The association also helps consumers and medical professionals find qualified, professional massage

All AMTA Professional members have demonstrated a level of
skill and knowledge through education and/or testing. New Professional members must be graduates of
training programs accredited by the Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation (COMTA); be graduates of AMTA Council of Schools member-schools;
be Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork; or have a current AMTA-accepted city, state or provincial license.
