We offer 9 courses totalling 1125 hours of professional training. Students choose the courses and sequence according to their needs. They can stop after 1 class (125 hours each) or continue to take all 1125 hours.
Beginning courses include Fundamentals of Massage, Fundamentals of Shiatsu, and Fundamentals of Acupressure.
All courses include ethics, anatomy and physiology, and a great deal of demonstration and practice time. Depending on the specific course, other topics are also presented such as movement and awareness, business issues, and injury prevention. |

Advanced professional courses include
Advanced Massage & Bodywork, Advanced
Massage Symposium, Sports Massage,
Clinical Deep Tissue, Advanced Shiatsu,
and Craniosacral/Myofascial Release.
Each of these has prerequisites and is
125 hours in length. They are each held
over a 3 month period.
Instructors are experts in their fields
and most are nationally recognized.

Body Therapy Center is a part of the McKinnon Institute of Massage in Oakland, CA. Our Palo Alto location features two beautiful classrooms fully-equipped with tables, stools, anatomical charts and models. We are conveniently located in the Downtown California Ave shopping district in sunny Palo Alto. |
| Tuition Information:

Fundamentals courses are $1495 each, including a $100 nonrefundable deposit. A discount is offered for courses paid in full. Payment plans are available. |
| Financial Aid:

We do not offer financial aid. We do offer a payment plan for students wishing to pay during the course of the program instead of in advance. |
