-Description MASSAGE PRACTITIONERS PROGRAM [840 hours] This program solidifies a foundation of education and experience for an individual to begin working professionally as a massage therapist. Studies include a variety of massage modalities, and both the scientific and artistic studies pertaining to massage therapy. Students will receive high quality instruction and insight from trained professionals where individual style and expression of massage is emphasized. A comprehensive amount of time is spent with supervised practice, and students will also gain experience working in the student clinic and in the community. Graduates are eligible for National Certification and state licensure in most states.

Anatomy/Physiology

-Description Anatomy and Physiology offers an exciting and interactive look into the structure and function of the human body. Lessons are focused around the understanding of concepts that will allow students to gain insight into the fascinating inner-workings of the human body.
Kineseology

-Description This course presents the musculoskeletal system, including muscular contraction and stsretching, mechanics of human movement, and joint function. The relationship of skeletal musculature and joint mechanics from a systemic body approach are explored. Structural palpation and treatment techniques are demonstrated and practiced with supervision.
Massage Theory

-Description The theory of all the various massage and bodywork modalities studied include the theoretical basis for their application. Students gain insight and understandings to the origins of the various forms as they develop their practical application skills.
Pathology
-Hours 40
-Description Pathology is an interactive course that investigates a wide variety of health conditions commonplace in today’s society. Studies will focus on the origins, signs and symptoms, and traditional medical treatments of disease. The positive affects that massage therapy and alternative medicine can offer are then considered. This course is invaluable to practitioners, as they will face these conditions first hand as a professional.
Professional Practice/Business

-Description To be a successful professional in today’s world requires certain basic knowledge and skills. This course provides excellent interactive instruction about the many facets of the massage therapy business. Students will formulate a business plan and discover the basic knowledge and skills to promote and operate a prosperous practice.
Technique: Practice

-Description The supervised technique and practice of the massage modalities is individually focused with every student in mind. Instructors at NAMTI will help every student achieve their optimal abilities to become effective as a therapist.

Clinic, internship and community outreach components of program NAMTI incorporates communication skills and interactive scenarios to the learning experience to further prepare our students with the ability to interact effectively in a variety of professional settings. Graduates are adequately trained to work in clinical practices accompanying chiropractors, physical therapists and other health care professionals, as well as private practice.

Description of facility(ies): NAMTI is located in beautiful West Sedona, AZ in the heart of the Red Rock Country. Views of the surrounding mountains are everywhere, and the solitude that this environment offers makes the location a perfect compliment for the study of massage and bodywork. Both the Sedona and Prescott schools are housed in their own buildings with multiple treatment rooms and spacious, well lit classroom facilities.
Tuition Information: 840-hour "Massage Practitioners Program" is $6,795 plus $400 for books.
Financial Aid: We offer several flexible payment plans, including Sallie Mae, TERI, and our own in house financing. Contact NAMTI for more information.
Application Fees(s): $50 application fee
Enrollment Periods: Classes start in Sedona every March, May, and September. In Prescott, classes begin in January, April, and September.
