Nothern California's Premier Wholistic Massage School:
Sky Hill Institute offers comprehensive training in both the Wholistic Massage Therapy (600 hours) and Wholistic Health Practitioner (1100 hours) programs.
The Wholistic Massage Therapy program (six months/full-time or eleven months/part-time schedule) is unique. It integrates wholistic principles into all aspects of anatomy, physiology, massage theory and technique, integrated bodywork, business and ethics, and therapeutic modalities. In addition, classes in wholistic health for the massage therapist provide students with the opportunity to promote self-healing, a prerequisite to being an effective massage therapist. Experience gained in student clinic prepares graduates for real life situations as they embark upon their new careers.
Students may also choose to take our more extensive 11-month, full-time Wholistic Health Practitioner program. This program begins with 600 hours of wholistic massage therapy training and then includes another 500 hours of study in nutrition, exercise physiology, natural skin care, whole body elimination, group and personal dynamics, universal concepts, Herbology, raw food preparation, Asian bodywork, iridology, aromatherapy, meditation, yoga, etc. all designed to teach students the principles of creating health through balancing mind, body, spirit and emotions.
Both Wholistic Massage Therapy and Wholistic Health Practitioner graduates are eligible for National Certification through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB). In addition, Wholistic Health Practitioner graduates, as certified wholistic health consultants, are trained to educate their clients in the principles of wholistic health and healing. Practitioners design cleansing and rejuvination programs geared to the specific needs and goals of their clients and then present these programs and follow up with clients during their student-intern Community Clinic.

Sky Hill Institute is located in the beautiful, historic town of Petaluma, California. Just a short drive from San Francisco and the California coast, Petaluma was named one of the top 100 “Best Places to Live” by Money Magazine and CNN in 2005 and was also chosen as one of the “Nation’s Top Ten Getaways Near a Major City” by Travel and Leisure Magazine.
Petaluma is in the heart of the scenic, lush wine country of Sonoma Valley. Thirty minutes east, through winding hills, lays the famous Napa Valley and a half hour north is the Alexander Valley wine area. Also abundant year-round in Petaluma and surrounding North Bay counties are farms that grow hundreds of varieties of organic and native produce. Petaluma itself is renowned as a home to many organic poultry farms, dairies, and boutique cheese makers, and has spearheaded the movement to prevent the use of bovine growth hormones and genetically modified crops. Organic, healthy, hormone-free food production is a critical factor in making Petaluma the perfect location to support our wholistic health principals and practices.
