-Description Our program is approved by the Arkansas State Board of Massage Therapy and accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology. White River School is also an approved provider with teh National Certificatio Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB). Classes are designed for individuals who are seeking comprehensive training in the art and science of therapeutic massage leading to a successful professional practice. Instruction will emphasize knowledge of the human body, the understanding and competent application of a variety of massage techniques, wholistic health principles and professionalism. At the completion of our program, students will be qualified and prepared for examination prior to licensing by the Arkansas State Board of Massage Therapy. Graduates are also eligible to become Nationally Certified in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. They are also encouraged to join the American Massage Therapy Association.

-Description A comprehensive study of the structure and function of the systems of the body with emphasis on connective tissue and its mechanisms. Pathology of the body systems as they relate to and affect application of massage techniques are emphasized.

Description of facility(ies): Our school is in a modern, custom-designed building located next to Nu-U Day Spa, a professional salon, massage and hydrotherapy clinic. (Special discounts are available to our students.) We have a wide array of educational tools for use in class including massage tables, desks, charts, projectors, TV, VCR, videos, a reference and lending library and a life-size skeleton for anatomical studies. Men's and women's changing rooms and a comfortable student lounge are available.
Tuition Information: Financial aid is available to those who qualify. Tuition includes all books, state and national testing fees. Student liability insurance is provided free while in training.
Financial Aid: Our program has been approved for Veteran's Training. Some of our students receive State assistance (Vocational Rehabilitation, etc.). If you think you may qualify for State financial aid, contact your local area offices for further information. We are willing to work cooperatively with any agency offering assistance to students who receive funding through their office.
