-Description Arcata School of Massage provides in-depth training with professional therapists as your instructors. We keep our classes small so we can work with each individual student, providing a learning environment that works for everyone. Curriculum includes Swedish Massage, deep techniques, eastern modalities, Somatic bodywork, therapeutic massage, hot stone and hydrotherapy, and exam review to prepare students to take the NCE or MBLEx.

-Description Learn the body from the inside out--the foundation for massage. ASM's musculoskeletal anatomy course is a hands-on study of the muscles and tissues of the body. Builds a scientific understanding of the human body and prepares students for the national exams.
Massage Theory

-Description Massage theory includes coursework in Swedish Massage, deep clinical approaches, prenatal techniques, Somatic bodywork, introduction to Asian modalities and more.
Pathology

-Description A thorough look at the pathologies encountered as a massage therapist and how to respond to them for your safety and the benefit of your client. Includes study of hygiene and sanitation. An essential course for taking the national exams.
Professional Practice/Business

-Description Curriculum covers resume writing, financial concerns for massage therapists, developing a business plan, and ethics in the massage profession.
