Program Title 500 Hr Massage Therapist Course
Date Program Established
Number of grads per year
Basic Certificate Program Information:
-Required Hours 500
-Description This course will give you the knowledge and provide you with the skills to become an exceptional Massage Therapist. In addition to learning therapeutic massage techniques, you will gain an in-depth knowledge of the human body and become familiar with pathology, as it relates to massage therapy. The 500 Hour course provides you with a strong Massage Therapy foundation and a great knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology, Kinesiology and Pathology. You will choose your own elective (advanced) classes and gain valuable practical experience in our clinic. Most massage programs have a “one size fits all” curriculum that every student follows to completion. At the Massage Center, we believe that the student should be able to custom design their massage and bodywork education to meet their individual preferences and scheduling requirements. The 500 hour Program meets and exceeds the guidelines of the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCBTMB) if you wish to receive national certification. This program also meets and exceeds the new California State requirements for the "Certified Massage Therapist" Exam.
