Welcome to the Wellness Community! Our 500-hour program is the most balanced and unique program available! We pride ourselves because we prepare the student for a career in alternative health and not just basic Swedish Massage. We give each student a foundation in the different styles and techniques of therapeutic massage. We teach many modalities that include but are not limited to: Swedish, Shiatsu, Deep Tissue, Sports Massage, Infant Massage, Prenatal Massage, Geriatric Massage, Reflexology, Trigger Point, and other healing and alternative modalities such as: Aromatherapy, Reiki, Yoga, Tai Chi and Feng Shui. Our unique integrated curriculum is outlined to include both the sciences and massage technique during each class session. This creates a balanced environment and allows the student to constantly enhance and improve their techniques while not being overwhelmed with the sciences. We offer day, evening and Saturday classes. All of our classes are interchangeable and a student can set their own schedule to suit his or her needs. |

| Clinic, internship and community outreach components of program |
We are involved with many outreach
programs and special events. We also
visit local nursing homes and
hospitals
on a regular basis and participate in
fundraisers for AIDS, Cancer, Muscular
Dystrophy, and many more. Once the
student has completed 250 hours of the
program and shows proficiency in the
ability to perform a basic massage,
the
student will be eligible to work 10
hours in the student clinic. This
allows the student to work directly
with new clients, as a professional,
in
a supervised setting. Upon completion
of each clinical session, the clients
are required to evaluate the
experience, which will provide a
feedback mechanism for both the
student
and the instructor. |
