LaDonna Ward Receives the AMTA 2025 President's Award
AMTA is thrilled to honor LaDonna Ward as a 2025 recipient of the President’s Award. This prestigious recognition celebrates individuals who have made outstanding and altruistic contributions to the massage therapy profession.
Established in 1988, the recipient of the President’s Award is personally selected by the AMTA National President each year. While traditionally presented at AMTA’s National Convention, the President has the discretion to give the award at any time to recognize deserving individuals. Before LaDonna’s retirement from the Board of Directors, current AMTA National President Kim Kane-Santos chose to honor her extraordinary contributions to the association and the profession.
LaDonna has been a devoted volunteer with AMTA’s Alabama chapter for more than 25 years, serving in numerous roles. Her extensive contributions include chapter historian, delegate, 2nd vice president, secretary, student recruitment designee, chapter president, Chapter President's Council (CPC) moderator, audit chair, and committee member for finance and volunteer hub development. LaDonna has also played a vital role as a longstanding member of the AMTA National Board of Directors.
President Kim Kane-Santos lauded LaDonna’s remarkable dedication by saying, “You always ask the right questions. You possess an unparalleled understanding of our profession. You know when to be flexible and when to hold firm. You love this profession and this association!”
The President’s Award is a symbol of AMTA’s deep gratitude for LaDonna’s enduring commitment to the massage therapy community. Her steadfast devotion and passionate support of colleagues and peers have left a profound and lasting impact.
Thank you, LaDonna, for your tireless dedication and compassion. You will be greatly missed, and your legacy will continue to inspire us all!
