Massage Envy Supports Annual Virginia Chapter Conference

April 24, 2025

Every spring, AMTA State Chapters have an annual Conference, bringing massage therapy professionals and students together to build community and advance the profession. Chapters are an integral piece of the AMTA experience, providing members with opportunities to connect with local massage therapists, attend on-site continuing education classes and advocate for the profession.

Three images of individuals at the Virginia AMTA Chapter Conference are placed in a collage over an image of the conference space.

Virginia Chapter Conference

Virginia held its Annual Conference in Elkton, VA on April 6-8. This year's theme, Educate, Advocate, Communicate, was at the forefront of the event with attendees participating in professional development, business and marketing seminars, and hands-on training sessions.

This year’s Conference also featured a new Professionals Development Day, including MBLEx review and strategies, a Lunch & Learn Session, and an Ethics and Panel Discussion. Additionally, Keynote Speaker Carl Knoblock, SBA Virginia District Director, motivated attendees before the membership business luncheon with his inspirational words. The 2025 Virginia Chapter Conference truly embodied its theme, Educate, Advocate, Communicate, by offering attendees a variety of ways to expand their expertise and share their stories.

Massage Envy's Support

Massage Envy was proud to support this event aimed at empowering the next generation of massage therapists. Their presence was marked by encouragement and enthusiastic support for the massage profession.

Massage Envy franchisees in Virginia also sponsored the Day One Lunch & Learn session, specifically designed for emerging professionals and students. This interactive event helped participants build confidence, find their voice, and feel empowered as they begin their careers. With over 40 students and recent graduates in attendance, the room was filled with curiosity, passion, and a unified commitment to the healing power of touch.

Danielle Younk, a Massage Envy representative, shared, “We left inspired by their stories, and we hope they left feeling seen, supported, and excited for the future.”

Strength in Collaboration

During the conference, Massage Envy highlighted the value of the brand’s ongoing collaboration with AMTA, reinforcing a shared commitment to supporting massage therapists at every stage of their journey. From advocacy and education to self-care and professional networking, Massage Envy underscored their passion for contributing to a thriving, inclusive massage therapy community.

Together, AMTA and Massage Envy remain dedicated to championing the profession. As AMTA educates, advocates, and communicates, we strengthen the future of massage therapy — supporting therapists, fostering growth, and preparing for the future.
