Description
Pacific College is one of the leading schools in the nation for massage and Asian bodywork. It has deep roots in East Asian health, and also offers degrees in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. The college hosts the annual Pacific Symposium conference, where world leaders in the massage and holistic health industries meet and collaborate. Their massage degrees range from the certificate to the associate level, with various specialties covered in each degree.Pacific College of Health and Science is one of the oldest and largest accredited institutions training professionals in the areas of Asian bodywork such as Tui Na and Thai massage, as well as traditional Western forms of massage including circulatory and Swedish methods. Founded in 1986, Pacific College has campuses in San Diego, New York, and Chicago, and features an esteemed faculty of professors from around the globe educating about 1,000 students yearly. Pacific College is accredited by ACAOM, WASC and approved by CAMTC which allows graduates to be eligible for state certification and national certification.76% of massage therapists received referrals from healthcare professionals in 2009, and in recent years, massage therapy has reached some of the nations top hospitals, including Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in NY and Stanford Hospital in CA. Integrative medicine is the future of healthcare, and the modern system is rapidly changing to fit this new mold. Fully integrating Eastern and Western medical modalities will inevitably create a network of best practices individually tailored to each patient. With the proper knowledge and expertise PCHS provides, you can help transform the lives of others by introducing your patients to a new outlook on health. Our programs prepare students to be on the cutting edge of the industry, with the ability to collaborate with Western physicians to help patients maintain optimal health and balance.
