AMTA Member Qualifications
Qualifications for Professional, Graduate and Student memberships.
Professional Qualifications
One or more of the following:
- Graduation from a minimum 500 in-class hour, entry-level massage therapy school
- Proof of current state or provincial licensure (where applicable)
- Certification by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork
Additionally, AMTA members adhere to a professionally recognized Code of Ethics and standards of practice and are committed to continuing their professional education and development.
Graduate Qualifications
One or more of the following:
- About to complete your 500 in-class hour minimum, supervised entry-level massage therapy program
- or - - Have completed your program within the past year
Additionally, AMTA members adhere to a professionally recognized Code of Ethics and standards of practice.
Student Qualifications
- Be enrolled in a 500 in-class hour minimum, supervised entry-level massage therapy program
- Adhere to professionally recognized Code of Ethics
Upon graduation, you will need to upgrade to graduate membership to continue receiving AMTA benefits.
